Obituary
Services for Charlyne F. Corey, 93, of Lompoc, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Julia Leeth of the First Presbyterian Church of Lompoc officiating.
Charlyne was born June 5, 1916 in Phoenix, Arizona to Charles and Marie Sayer Rouse. She was raised and educated in Los Angeles and worked as a bookkeeper in Southern California with Aetna Insurance Company for several years. She moved to Lompoc in 1987 to be closer to her family. Charlyne enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and loved to read and travel.
She died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Lompoc Comprehensive Care Center.
Survivors include daughters, Dorotha Overland of Lompoc and Audrey Combs and husband Clifford of Redlands, Calif.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Juel.
