IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cherie Ann
Sevier
March 24, 1963 – March 20, 2024
Cherie was born in Long Beach, California on March 24, 1963. After about a year the Sevier family moved up to Lompoc and made it their home. A year later in 1965 Cherie had a little brother Herbie.
She went to El Camino Elementary school, Lompoc Middle School and graduated from Lompoc High school in 1981. Along with hanging out with her friends she was on the cheerleader squad as a flag bearer.
After high school she went to work for Thrifty's drug store. In December of 1998 her father's battle with Parkinson's ended and Herbert Sevier was laid to rest in Lompoc. Eventually Cherie retired early from Thrifty's to become a caregiver for her mom Barbara Sevier. Those two became best friends and you nornally saw one always with the other.
After eight years of taking care of her mom it all came to an ended on September 2020 and her mom was laid to rest in Lompoc with her dad. Over the last four years of her life Cherie turned her focus towards her little brother and they both became close.
Early in 2023 Cherie fell at home which started a cascade of medical issues. Her little brother Herbie stepped up and became her caregiver over that last year until Cherie's passing on March 20, 2024. She will be laid to rest in Lompoc with her mom & dad.
Cherie is remembered as a strong women with a big heart, beautiful smile and long blonde hair.
She is survived by her little Brother Herbie Sevier, Uncle Arlynn White, lots of cousins, friends and her dog Midnight.
The visitation will be Thursday, March 28, from 5-7pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The graveside service will be Friday, March 29, at 11am in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery
