CHERYL ANN MONTGOMERY
Memorial services for Cheryl Ann Montgomery, 53, of Lompoc, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 2800 Harris Grade Road in Lompoc with Rev. Michael Cunningham officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
Cheryl was born December 15, 1954 in Seattle, Washington to James and Betty Wonders Arney. At a young age, her family moved to Indiana and was raised and educated in Indianapolis and South Bend. She settled in La Habra, California in 1978 then moved to Santa Barbara in 1985 and finally Lompoc in 1991. She had worked as a retail clerk at Sears in Santa Barbara for 21 years. Her favorite pastimes included sculpting, oil painting, collecting teddy bears and Barbie dolls. She enjoyed going to the auto races with her husband, and liked to travel and garden.
She passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at her home.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Bill Montgomery of Vandenberg Village; brothers, Mark Arney of Orlando, Florida, Keith Arney of Sterling, Virginia and David Engles of Sacramento. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-sister, Sharon Johnson and step-brother, Bob Canary.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 604 East Ocean Ave., Lompoc 93436.
