Christina Stevens passed away August 30, 2018, at the age of 81 at home with family at her side. As with most of her life, Christina lived out her final days on her own terms with TV remote control in hand enjoying a hot cup of coffee while watching Animal Planet; just as she had always talked about.

She was born in Oxford, England, before marrying and coming to the United States.

Those who knew Christina will remember her for her resilience and bravery in surviving three bouts of cancer and several other ailments she struggled with throughout her life and for her fondness for canine friends. She was a fantastic cook and a shy operatic singer except at Sunday morning masses when the music would consume her, and she shared her beautiful voice and her passion for song with the congregation.

She often said if she could do life again, she would have been in the medical field or a truck driver. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, as well as her beloved dog Elvis.

Christina is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph "Steve" Stevens. She is survived by her children Christopher, Anthony, Terence, Gail, and Lisa; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and her siblings.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 3 pm at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
