Christine V. Bastian, 84, of Lompoc, CA passed away peacefully at her home with loved ones by her side. Christine was born on the 23rd of December 1939, along with her twin brother Christopher, to Brian and Maud Tindale in Cambridge, England. In November 1958, Christine married Wilfred (Bill) H. Bastian, a member of the U.S. Air Force, and they were blessed to have celebrated 44 years together before his untimely death in 2002. They had four children together. She led a very happy, active life filled with family and friends. She enjoyed having her grandchildren around, supporting them in all their activities and baking brownies for them. Christine worked for AAFES at Vandenberg Air Force Base for 24 years before retiring in 2004.

Christine is survived by her twin brother Christopher Tindale of Cottingham, England, her sister Jean Richardson of Cornwall England, and children Cheryl Chun (Clay), Tracy Janecek (John), Davina Bastian, Jeffrey Bastian, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, at La Purisima Catholic Church, Lompoc CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Santa Barbara County North chapter (SHPbeds.org), in her honor.
