Christopher "Christo" Harrison Gilbert, 27 years old of Lompoc, California died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, December 4th 2011 in the early morning hours. He was born March 1, 1984 in Oakland, CA. Christo is survived by his mother, Teresa Hopper of Lompoc, CA, his father, Ralph Gilbert of Vacaville CA, his sisters Tracy and Jennifer of Lompoc, CA, and sister Tiffany of El Paso, TX, six nephews Nathan, Reiley, Carter, Wyatt, Christopher, and Hayden, and his best friend David Carmagnola. He is predeceased by his grandmother Billie Jones of Sacramento, California April 10, 2010 and by one of his best friends from childhood Ryan Krueger January 9, 2003. A recent graduate of Video Symphony of Burbank, CA in November 2011 with certification in Audio Engineering, Christo had already completed working on a movie "Hughes the Force" that recently premiered. He was incredibly excited about starting on his new career path. Christo had always been an avid lover of music and was a musician himself, and loved to play acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, piano and the drums. In addition to playing these instruments in several bands throughout his life, he also occasionally provided vocals for these bands and recorded many of his songs and his band's songs. He loved music and movies, his family, his friends and loved hanging out. He was always willing to do anything asked of him and never expected anything in return. He was a tough guy on the outside, but a softie on the inside. Because he loved his hometown of Vacaville, CA and considered that his true home, services will be held in Vacaville, California at Nadeau Funeral Home Saturday, December 10th at 2:30pm.
