Obituary

Our Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and servant of God, Claudina Hernandez, of Lompoc was taken to her homecoming with Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 11, at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara after a short illness. She left peacefully and was carried by angels to be with Our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Moises B. Hernandez; four sons, Moises Hernandez of Lompoc, Elias Hernandez, of Lompoc, Ruben Hernandez of Lompoc, Benjamin Hernandez of Santa Maria; eight grandchildren, Dina Hernandez, Natasha Hernandez, Nathaniel Hernandez, Christian Hernandez, Bradley Hernandez, Sarah Hernandez and Benjamin Hernandez; two great-grandchildren, Mark and Ely Adams; daughter-in-law, Vicki Hernandez; three sisters, Maria Wilson of Santa Maria, Julia Hosick of Lompoc, and Consuelo Heroux of Santa Barbara; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, numerous nephews and nieces and cousins. She was preceded in passing by her beloved baby daughter, Dina Hernandez and her parents, Vicente Morales and Paula Talavera Morales.

Claudina was born in Santa Maria, on November 25, 1932 and graduated from Santa Maria Union High School, class of 1950. From there she went on to be a bookkeeper and in later years worked at the County of Santa Barbara, Mental Health and the City of Lompoc in the accounting departments.

She met her future husband and fell in love with him when she was 13. He was her one and only boyfriend. They married when she was 21. Together, they tirelessly ministered and built the Apostoiic Church of the Faith in Jesus Christ in Lompoc. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by taking their four sons and grandchildren on a cruise to the Mexican coast. She talked over and over about their 50th anniversory breakfast with only their four sons, as being one of the highlights of her life. Her love & admiration for her four sons and their families was her legacy to them.

Claudina's life was exemplified by her Christian service and devotion to Jesus Christ. She was a tireless servant to advance the cause of Jesus Christ. She was truly an example of Proverbs 31. "Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all."

Claudina was a Daughter of Jesus Christ, who also lovingly excelled as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, family member, and friend. We, now, arise and honor her life
as her homecoming is celebrated on Thursday, November 16, at 7:00 p.m., and on Friday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 500 East North Avenue in Lompoc. Funeral services & graveside services will be under the direction of her pastor, Jose L. Tapia, of Nipomo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Nipomo Apostolic Church of the Faith in Jesus Christ, in her name.
