Obituary

Mrs. Clotilda G. Trancoso, born on February 10, 1910 in Douglas AZ, passed away, on July 31, 2009 at the age of 99. Tillie, as she was lovingly known to her family & friends, moved to Fresno, Ca from AZ in 1932 and resided there for 3 years. Then moved to Fillmore in 1935 a small town in Sespie to take care of her ill mother. With the passing of her mother she then moved to Santa Barbara in 1936 where she raised her 11 children. Then moving to Lompoc in 1970 where she remained till her passing. She was a very strong person, kind; gentle soul every one she met loved her. She practices the faith of Seventh - day Adventist for many years. She volunteered for many years making care boxes for disaster victims and the needy. She had many jobs in her long and full life. She was a very loving person always there to help when needed. We will miss her beautiful smile, her contagious laughter, and her heart felt songs.

She was the last living member of her immediate family, Belen G. Munoz, of Lompoc. Consuelo Cosio, Santa Monica, Manuel Gutierrez, Jeraldo Alvarado, Louisa Gutierrez, Matilda Gutierrez, Pinosilla Gutierrez, Juan Gutierrez. She is survived by her daughters and sons: Santiago Sifuientez, Eloise Pina, Joe R. Trancoso, Connie Casio, Raul S. Trancoso, Eduvijies J. Trancoso, Frances Martinez, Gloria J. Ruiz, Victoria R. Dozol, Mary M. Vaca, and Jesse D. Trancoso, Grandchildren: Rebeeca Trancoso, Jimmy Roman, Jesse Trancoso Jr., Francina Trancoso, Josefina Vaca, Santiago Vaca, Thomas Vaca, & 37 more Grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. Also by numerous nephews and nieces in California and extended family throughout the US and friends. You will be missed Mother, Big Grandma you will be in our heart, thoughts, and prayers always.

A public viewing will be held at the Starbuck-Lind Chapel on Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 4 to 7 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7 at 1pm at the Lompoc Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 205 W. Chestnut, with Pastor Joe Mallison officiating. Internment will follow the service at the Santa Barbara Cemetery.
