Clyde Lonny Petanovich, 65, of Lompoc, California, passed away on July 25, 2019, in Santa Barbara, California.

Clyde was born to Ruth and Andrew Petanovich on December 3, 1953, in Rantoul, Illinois.  He graduated from Lompoc High School in 1972 and joined the United States Air Force in 1973, rising to the rank of Sergeant.  His occupation was a construction laborer for over 30 years.

Clyde loved golfing at La Purisima Golf Course and enjoyed cruising the country roads and hills surrounding Lompoc, ocean fishing on his brother Jim's boat, and annual family RV camping at El Capitan State Beach.  Clyde will be remembered as the "life of the party" at most gatherings and BBQ's!

Clyde is survived by his mother, two sisters Gail and Shelley, brother Jim, son Nick, and granddaughter Paige.  He was preceded in death by his father and brothers Nick and Bruce.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 10 am at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
