Connie Maria Casio, age 88 passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on December 3, 2024.

Connie was born on May 15, 1941, in Santa Barbara, CA to Jose and Clotida Trancoso. Connie grew up in Santa Barbara with her five brothers and five sisters, she later moved to Lompoc where eventually the rest of her family followed. Connie was a very kind, loving, caring mother, sister and aunt. Connie had many hobbies, she loved to crochet, needlepoint, beading, papercrafts, and more. Connie loved to read, especially James Patterson. Connie loved to sing, especially at family parties with her brother Jesse Trancoso ( mariachi). Connie loved the beach and loved to collect rocks, shells, and sea glass. She loved nature, her plants, and flowers, she was very good at making flower arrangements. Connie loved the color purple; she had purple everything. She loved collecting things, lots of things from comic books, baseball cards, eggs, and swans, in every shape and form. Connie enjoyed watching football, baseball, and figure skating. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren's games, she helped at the schools her grandchildren went to. Connie had a good life and was loved by all. She loved her family, especially her mom.

Connie is survived by her sisters; Mary Vaca, Victoria Dozal, Gloria Ruiz, Francis Martinez, and Elosie Pina, her children Tom Owens, Raul Owens, Anne Gray, Lisa Casio, Deborah Casio, and many grandchildren.  She is preceded by her brothers  Raul Transoco, Eddie Transoco, and Jesse Transoco, and her son Manny, along with other family members.

Connie was loved and touched many hearts and will be sorely missed by all, especially her children and grandchildren. I'm sure she is one of God's angels that are watching over us now and always. I love you, Mom, R.I.P. until we're together again. We love you and miss you! Thankful for all your blessings through our lives, blessings through our lives your lovely spirit will remain in our hearts.

A visitation for Connie will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary on Friday, January 11, 2024, at 10 AM, followed by her funeral service starting at 11 AM.  Burial will follow at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
