A Celebration of Life for Crystal Lynn Johnson-Grant will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with Pastor Grant Gridiron officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
On January 6, 1981, Crystal graced the world with her presence born in Lompoc and the only child to the union of Sherry Roy and Brian Johnson. She passed into eternal peace on Wednesday, November 30, 2011.
Although Crystal was not actively involved in the church as a youth, at the age of 30, June 2011, Crystal accepted Jesus Christ as savior and attended the House of Prayer which is located in Arroyo Grande. She is a 1999 graduate of Cabrillo High School. Following graduation, she attended Allan Hancock College and studied Sociology. On November 19, 2001 Crystal and Dayshawn joined unity as one. After college, she went to Los Angeles to pursue her modeling career. She had the opportunity to appear in several entertainment magazines and music videos. She also appeared in a pilot T.V. show. Shortly after modeling, Crystal choose to dedicate her heart, soul and time to making her family her top priority.

Crystal leaves behind to celebrate her life and cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Dayshawn Grant; her devoted daughter, Jaidyn Johnson; mother, Sherry Roy; father, Brian Johnson; grandmother, Nancy Sinningson; sister, Jasmine Johnson; three brothers, Joseph Gastelo, Richard Gastelo, and Andrew Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
Visitation hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
