After a courageous 6-year battle with breast cancer, our beloved daughter, Cynthia Rose Lewis passed away on September 28, 2016 at the Serenity House in Santa Barbara. Cindy was born on July 4 1975 in Goleta, CA and eventually moved to Lompoc with her family in 1981. She attended local schools and graduated from Lompoc High School in 1993. After raising her daughters, she returned to Allan Hancock College and got her degree in medical billing. She worked at United Health Care Insurance at the clinic on VAFB. She was a dedicated worker as a medical referral liaison.
Some of her favorite things in her life were music, concerts, movies, sports and spending time with her family. She was loved by her friends, family and all in the community. Cindy was an amazing example of courage and strength to all of her friends. She was a dedicated mother to her children.
She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband, Michael Shane Ramirez, her daughters, Katelynn Jongsma, San Francisco, Kathryn Jongsma, UCSD, Krystal Jongsma, Lompoc, Angelina Hope Ramirez, Lompoc and her stepson Michael Ramirez, Jr. She also leaves behind her parents Ronald and Irene Moeller, Her sister, Rhonda Moeller and brother in law, Emmanuel Mungoma, and nieces Maliyah and Leilah Moeller and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bernardo and Carmen Garcia and Laurens and Alberta Moeller, her brother-in-law, Bernie Ramirez, sister-in-law, Christina Ramirez and cousin Gary Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel between 2 and 6:30 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church at 2800 Harris Grade Road at 9:30 am with burial following at Lompoc Cemetery.
