DANA J. PRETER

Dana J. Preter, 80, of Lompoc, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Lompoc Valley Medical Center. Dana was born on November 29, 1931 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Clarence and Wilma Reprogal.

Here is Dana's last message: Dear friends, please celebrate with me. Don't feel sad. I am with my precious Lord, and I left an aching shell behind. My spirit will be nourished by Jesus and the Father of Lights has called me His Child today! Don't be sorry; just rejoice with me in the Glory of our Lord! Jesus said " In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. I will come back and take you with me that you may also be where I am." Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. She is now home with the Lord she loved and shared with others.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with Pastor Joey Robison of North Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Dana is survived by her sister, Thelma Mae Weese; niece, Becky Parr; sister-in-law, Peggy Reprogal; cousin, Sharon Boushelle; adopted brothers, George and Virgil Steele; and dear friends Martha "Marty" Pruett, Donna Schoumaker, Judy Williams, Sheila Garcia, and Laverne McGill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jack, and husbands Charles Preter and Frank Dominuez.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the mortuary.
