Obituary

Daniel Salas Terrones "Weto" passed away peacefully on October 31, 2015 at the age of 90. He was surrounded by his strong, dedicated wife Tomasa, his 11 children and numerous grandchildren.

He was born to Rafael and Rosa Salas Terrones on August 6, 1925 in Pacoima, California. He was raised in San Luis Potosi, Mexico where he met his beautiful wife Tomasa Reyna.

Seeking employment, he moved back to California in 1950 where he began working at Camp Cooke. In 1952, he began working for John Mansville as a forklift operator and was a dedicated, hardworking and responsible employee up until he retired after 34 years with the company.

Daniel's past times included listening to music, dancing with his daughters, being a dedicated Dodger fan, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, working in his yard and was convinced that everything could be fixed with duct tape. His home was always the focal point for most family celebrations.

Daniel was known for creating funny, short or literal nicknames for each of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each of them will always cherish this honor.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Tomasa Reyna, his sister Dolores Rodriguez of Mexico, his eight daughters and three sons. They are Rosa (Armando) Chavez, Martha (Angel) Ramos, Alice (Sam) Ramirez, Margarita (Abel Charles) Terrones, Rachel (Alfred) Garcia, Rebecca (Patrick) Terek, Daniel Terrones, Patricia (Bill) Tello, Ralphy Terrones, Gloria (Frank) Taitague, Art (Stella Rea) Terrones, 28 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, sister Esperanza Terrones, and brothers Guadalupe, Angel and Severo Terrones.

We would like to thank Dr. Bailey, Valley Medical Group, the Cottage Hospital medical staff and Dignity Health Hospice for all of their assistance and care of our father.

You will be missed by all Daniel "Weto" Terrones.
