Daniel Charles Trace, born on May 16 ^th , 1954 to Charlie & Jina Trace, passed away on May 11 ^th , 2018.   Dan was a wonderful husband and dad who was self-educated through the love of reading & books.  His other love was hockey. One of the most eclectic (variety-driven) readers ever seen, he was reading Lord of the Rings by age seven and in the book business for 20 years. A California guy, he met and married his first wife, Judith, in a college journalism class and they had a son named Jared.  When Jared was 11 years old, Dan was able to take the entire Summer off from work and pretend to be 11 too...it was a super soaker water gun summer, with bike rides to the park for soccer or baseball and trekking to the local comic book store with an ice cream stop on the way home.  He changed careers mid-way through his life and divorced and re-married.  He became a Certified Tumor Registrar/CTR, these are the health professionals that collect the data on cancer patients, then the data gets transmitted to the state and national authorities for research.  He and his second wife, Jenna,  bought a home together and thrived.  He is also survived by his sister, Muzette, a former Professional Ice Skater.  He enjoyed the outdoors through camping, hiking, and kayaking.   In loving memory of 31 years together…love you always DC, Jenna.
