David Michael French of Lompoc died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at the age of 51.

Dave was born August 1, 1958, in Monrovia, California to Charles and Janeen French. Raised and educated in Fresno, he attended Clovis High School. Formerly of Eureka he has been a resident of Lompoc since 2005.

Dave was employed as a truck driver in the logging industry in Northern California. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, golf and horseback riding.

Dave is survived by his companion of 21 years Patricia Reed of Lompoc, his brother Patrick French of Arroyo Grande, brother Randall French of Sanger, California, sister Cynthia Reese of Oakhurst, California, daughter Melissa Clark of Ruth Nevada, daughter Beverly Reed of Sacramento, son Benjamin Reed of Trinidad, California, daughter Tiffany Goodwin of Savanah, Georgia, daughter Melissa Vacca, numerous nieces and nephews and his mother. His father preceded him in death.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
