David Anthony Contreras of Lompoc passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at the age of 56.

David was born January 29, 1957, in Santa Barbara, California to David and Jerri Contreras. Raised and educated in Santa Barbara he graduated from Dos Pueblos High School.

David enjoyed his morning coffee at Tom's Takeout every morning. He also enjoyed listening to country music and watching westerns and wrestling on TV.

David is survived by his mother Jerri Contreras of Goleta, sister Julie (Johnny) Martinez of Nipomo, brother Michael (Leticia) Contreras of Lompoc , sister Lydia Ramirez of Goleta, sister Rachel (Juan) Contreras of Lompoc, sister Janet (Ken) Williamson of Lompoc, brother Ricky Contreras of Mexico, brother Juan (Krissy) Contreras of Lompoc, sister Maria Contreras of Lompoc, brother Ralph Contreras of Lompoc, brother Raymond Contreras of Lompoc, sister Cheryl of Simi Valley, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. David was preceded in death by his father in 2001, a cousin Anita Mira in 2008 and his nephew Junior Contreras in 2010.

The visitation will be Friday, July 12, from 4-7 pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with the rosary starting at 6 pm. Cremation will be followed by inurnment in the Calvary Cemetery in Santa Barbara on Monday, July 15, at 11 am.
