David French, 62, of Lompoc was born October 14, 1953 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He moved to Lompoc with his family in February of 1959. He lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday August 31, 2016. David graduated with the Lompoc High School Class of 1971. He studied and earned an Associate of Science Degree in Computer Science at Allan Hancock College. While in school, he played Violin, Viola and Cello where he mastered all of them. He was a gifted musician who played by ear and taught himself guitar. David had also played lead guitar in a few musical groups. He was also artistically inclined and drew many portraits.
Survivors include his mother Joan French of Lompoc; daughter Monica Trevino of Lompoc; sister Lorraine Osborn of Germany; brothers Scott French of Lompoc, Stephen French of San Diego; grandsons Jacob Sanchez, Isaiah Trevino and Nathan Trevino; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sept. 3rd and private burial Sept. 7th at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
