David A. Garcia, 63, a native and lifelong resident of Lompoc, passed away on Monday August 20, 2012 at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
David was born May 6, 1949 to Bernardino and Isabel Garcia. He worked as a commercial and residential painter and cabinet finisher for over 30 years. David loved music and played bass and lead guitar in the band "The Kynd". He had a huge heart and loved to help people out who were not as fortunate. He also had a passion for tennis and classic cars. He loved the Lord, and believed in the power of prayer and Christ.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery for family and close friends. Following the service, "A Celebration of Life" will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) at Beattie Park. Bringing and sharing your favorite dish, beverage or desert will be appreciated at the gathering.
David is survived by his two sons, Derek and Alex; granddaughters, Elena and Ava; and three sisters, Mary Anne Cedillo, Frances Acker, and Stephanie Garcia; nieces, Elizabeth Acker, Melinda Cedillo; and nephews, Robert Cedillo, Vincent Cedillo, Dean Acker and Tanner Garcia.
