Obituary
Services for David J. Montoya, 81 of Lompoc, will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2006 at Lompoc Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Cook of La Purisima Catholic Church officiating. Friends may pay their respects at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 3.
David was born July 25, 1925 in New Mexico to Francisco and Eloisa Garcia Montoya. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. David moved to Lompoc in 1952 from New Mexico and was employed for 39 years with Denholm Seed Company. His favorite pastimes included gardening, walking and spending time with his family.
David died Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Lompoc Hospital.
Survivors include his nieces, Margaret Ortega, Mary Gonzales, Gloria Arguello, Judy Arguello and Della Caballero all of Lompoc, 15 grandnieces and grandnephews and 19 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
