Vigil services for Lompoc native David Navarro will be 6 pm Friday, April 1, 2016 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A funeral mass will be celebrated 9 am Saturday, April 2 at La Purisima Catholic Church with Fr. James Johnson, OFM Cap. of Old Mission Santa Inez, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. He passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Riverside, CA surrounded by members of his loving family following complications from Dementia. One of 15 children, David was born July 14, 1937 and raised in Lompoc to Cecelia and Teofilo Navarro. He graduated from Lompoc High School in 1956 and served as a U.S. Marine from 1956 to 1960. After military service, Dave worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Tustin, CA for 37 years while residing in Santa Ana for 43 years. During his life, Dave raised a total of eight children and a granddaughter. He is survived by four brothers and sisters, eight children, and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the mortuary.
