David passed away at Lompoc Hospital from complications of RSV and COPD on February 5, 2024.

Dave was born in Scott Field, IL on September 27, 1943. He was the eldest of five children born to Lorena (Trudy) Cahan and Bernard Trudeau. His Air Force father and mother finally settled in Lompoc in 1958.

David attended Lompoc Schools graduating from LHS in 1963. He served his country in the National Guard. He was a very generous and loving soul. He enjoyed golfing and loved to travel.

He was a mischievous and wondrous child always searching for the next adventure. Anyone who knew Dave knew he could tell the best life stories. Most of his life was spent in the Pacific Northwest and California, but always called Lompoc home. For the majority of his professional life, he was an Organizational Consultant and was sought out to turn companies profitable.

David is survived by his loving wife Mary, his boys Greg and Ronald Ruddick all of Lompoc, His brother Tom of Milan TX, his sister Debbie (Mike) Maples of Penn Valley, CA and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and fur babies Bernie & Trudy.

David was predeceased by his parents Bernard and Lorena (Trudy), and his sisters Patty Nawrocki and Diane Martin.
