Services for Dawn G. Holden, 76, of Lompoc, will be 3 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
Dawn was born on November 16, 1933 to Ernest "Hoppy" and Iva Hopkins in Massachusetts. She was raised and educated in the Cape Cod area before moving to Santa Barbara in 1965. She married William Holden on March 29, 1968. The two of them would later move to Lompoc where Dawn worked as a Prep Cook for the Elks Lodge for many years.
She passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Serenity House in Santa Barbara.
Dawn is survived by her husband of 42 years, William Holden of Lompoc; daughter, Leslee Specht of San Ramon, CA; son, Jeff Bump of Paso Robles; sister, Joan Baker of Lompoc; grandchildren, Melissa Bump of Boston, MA, Ashley and Spencer Bump of Paso Robles and Sasha Specht of San Ramon; niece, Sheri Jackson and nephew, Warren Gibbs, both of Santa Barbara. Her son, David Bump and brother, Billy Hopkins, preceded her in death.
Visitation hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
