Obituary

With faith in the promises of our Lord Jesus Christ, we announce the death of Deacon Michael A. Lujan, who went home to the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

Michael was a gentle and compassionate man who found his greatest happiness in his family and in giving back to his community. He was a devoted husband, a caring father, and a deeply cherished grandfather. His generosity, resilience, and unconditional love left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He built a life and a home rooted in love, laughter, and encouragement, creating countless memories that his family and community will hold close to their hearts for years to come.

Michael was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacon on July 16, 2011. Michael served at Queen of Angels parish, Lompoc, CA.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Mary, and his cherished children: Michael, John, Michelle, Julie, Jose, and Manny, and his grandchildren: Marina, JC, Isla, Araya, Cara, and Sophia, who will carry his love and values with them forever. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless lives he influenced with his compassion and gentle spirit.

Though Michael’s passing leaves an immeasurable void, his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him. He will be remembered not only for the love he gave so freely but also for the example he set through his kindness, dedication, and commitment to those he held dear.

The family invites relatives and friends to celebrate Michael's life and honor his memory.
