Obituary

Deborah Brecht was born in Phoenix, Arizona and grew up in Lompoc, California where she spent most of her life working and raising her two daughters in a loving environment.

She is survived by both her daughters Kristie Gomez and Amber Hamzeh.

Debbie left everyone that she met with loving and heartwarming joy.

She met and made many friends in her beautiful life as well. She started her career as a server at the Red Viking restaurant in Solvang, California. Later, gaining her commercial driver's license and working for Safety-Kleen in Goleta, California. She humored all of her colleagues with her contagious laughter and uplifting spirit. She was an inspiration to all those around her.

Later, she returned to Red Viking restaurant and continued to share a sense of welcomeness, laughter and joy.

It pains all those who knew Debbie to see her go but while we may shed tears for our loss, she is greeted with love and joy from all the angels and loved ones in heaven. Truly our loss is their gain and may she continue to share her love and happiness forever more.

The visitation will be on Thursday, June 6, from 4-7pm in the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel.  The funeral service will be Friday, June 7, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, followed by burial in the Lompoc Cemetery.  The time of the service is pending.
