Dian Riley passed away on February 11, 2017 in Kentfield, CA due to a long battle with cancer. Dian was the eldest of seven children born to Jesse Huey Riley and Hattie Mae Smith.
Dian was a devoted member of Faithful Apostolic Church and was referred to as "Mother Dian" amongst her congregation. She was also a member of the Half Century Club where she spent many evenings playing bingo, which was one of her favorite activities.
Dian's chosen profession was the medical field. She served in this area as a LVN/CNA. Dian was also an advocate of education and proud alumni of Carver High School in Montgomery, AL. Dian was a strong support system for both her sons through college, as they both obtained advanced degrees.
Dian was preceded in death by her parents and one sibling, Professor Calvin Riley. She is survived by five siblings, Jesse Riley, Eris Riley, Dr. Alvin Riley, Dallas Riley and Monica Lockwood. She had two sons, Tyrone C. Webb of San Francisco, CA and T.C. Webb, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, T.C. Webb, III, Taytum Cios-Webb and Trenton Curtis Webb and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23 from 5:30-8pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11 am at Faithful Apostolic Church, 129 North O Street, Lompoc with a private interment at Lompoc Cemetery District.
