Diane Lee Schutz passed away in the early morning hours of September 27, 2023, from natural causes at the age of 90.

Diane was born on February 5, 1933, in Oxnard, California to Iris Ross and Earl Miller. Diane lived on various ranches in the Oxnard area before moving to Lompoc, her senior year of high school. Diane excelled in all sports, including baton. Diane graduated from Lompoc High School in 1951. After high school, Diane married Ed Schutz and raised four kids. Diane was a homemaker and later drove the school bus for over twenty years. Diane's favorite thing to do was to be with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved cheering them on in all they did, including playing youth sports and learning horseback riding. She also enjoyed sewing and driving around on her motorcycle. Diane was an avid gun enthusiast competing in trap shooting and won several awards. Not only was she a good shooter, but she looked good doing it.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, brother Roger Miller, son Tony Schutz, daughter Polly Rieck, and grandson Ray Schutz. Diane is survived by sons Alan (Cindy) Schutz and Pete (Mickey) Schutz, and grandchildren Noah Schutz, and Eddie Schutz. Amy Hinkens, Lisa Robert, and Brittany Schutz, several beloved great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family is thankful for the care she received while residing at the Comprehensive Care Center and for her love and dear friend, Ron Wittman.
