Donald Carlson of Lompoc passed away on June 27, 2007 at the age of 47.
Don was born February 14, 1960, to Donald and Jackie Carlson in Florida. His family moved to Vandenberg Air Force Base shortly thereafter. He was educated in local schools and he graduated from Cabrillo High School in 1978. After serving a two-year mission in Ecuador for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Don returned to school, completing a bachelor's degree in business and agriculture at Cal Poly in 1986.
Don was employed at Domino's Pizza in Lompoc for the last 20 years. He loved to follow politics and current events and never hesitated sharing his knowledge. He was a member of the Mesa Oaks ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Don is survived by his father, Donald Carlson of Colonial Beach, Virginia; sister, Robin Carlson of Los Angeles; half sister, Debbie Buoni; His aunts Robin, Marla and Beverly; uncles Bob and Chuck, and his cousins Judy, Melanie, Chuck, Shalaine, Ade and Stephanie.
The funeral service will be on Monday, July 2, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 212 East Central Avenue, in Lompoc. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
