The memorial service for Donald Conklin will be on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Pastor Jim Mackereth of the Bethany Lutheran Church will officiate.

Donald was born March 17, 1941 to Harold and Anna Conklin in Davenport, Iowa. He passed away at his home in Lompoc on Wednesday, October 25, 2006.

A longtime resident of Lompoc, Donald is survived by his wife Marcia Conklin of Lompoc; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Melissa Conklin of Santa Clara, and Shawn and Dina Conklin of Augusta, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Damon Foster of Santa Clara; step-sons and their wives, David and Mary Sheller of Apex, North Carolina, Steven Sheller of Santa Maria, Chris and Carmen Sheller of Santa Maria, and Rusty Mathews of Jacksonville, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Jim McKibbon of Placentia, sister, Nola Coleman of Pomona; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Patty Conklin of Sullivan, Illinois; mother-in-law, Niki Leach of Lompoc; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
