Obituary
Donald Machado, 63, of Lompoc died Tuesday, June 6th, 2017.
Don was born July 23rd, 1953 to Joe and Audrey Machado in Lompoc, CA where he spent most of his life and helped run the family ranch as a third-generation farmer and rancher.
Growing up he was active in 4-H and the FFA. He would spend weekends in Pismo Beach with his family, skateboarding through the streets and surfing. He spent his summers working on the ranch. He could often be found barbecuing around town, attending his kids' sports games, or tinkering with something in his shop, always sporting his signature cowboy hat, mustache, and smile. He was a prominent fixture in Lompoc and will certainly go down as a local legend, especially amongst his fellow Vaqueros and Too Much Fun Club members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Joe and Audrey Machado. He is survived by his son; Joe Machado, daughters; Monique and Brandy Machado, siblings; Barbara and Gary Satterfield and Joanne and Bobby Garrick, a large extended family, and an even larger community of friends.
