Donald L. Peasely Jr., 70 of Lompoc, passed away on April 15, 2014.
He was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on June 21, 1943 to Donald L. Peasley, Sr. and Virginia Smith.
Donald dedicated twenty two years of his life to the Military, enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1962 and retiring in 1984 as a Senior Master Sergeant. He served his county while in the Vietnam War, distinguished himself by heroism while engaged in ground operations against an opposing armed force in Vietnam in 1968. He received a Bronze Star with V device and Purple Heart for a wound received during his tour in Vietnam. While in the Air Force, Donald worked as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Flight Engineer Superintendent, Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent and First Sergeant.
After retiring he was employed with the Defense Contract Management Agency and Defense Logistics Agency as a Quality Assurance Specialist, for which he retired from.
Donald is survived by his Parents; Donald Peasley Sr and Helen Peasley; Children Tom Peasley and Angela Peasley; Siblings Alison DeLoof and Andy Peasley; Grandchildren Miranda, Aaron and Evan Peasley.
A Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, May 1, 2014 at the Lompoc Cemetery.
