Don was born and raised in Lompoc.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, JoAnn, sons Donald and Joseph, granddaughter Kalea, and his constant companion, his dog Bo.  He is also survived by his sisters Arlene Nething, Dolly Myers, brother Ronald Reitmeier, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don was an avid fisherman, loyal friend, and a man with his own unique sense of humor who got along with everyone.

Don worked for Lockheed Martin for 29 years, starting as a janitor and moving up to a reproduction operator.

Special thanks to Lockheed Martin, all of Don's co-workers, friends and family who have given their love and support during this difficult time and throughout the years.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 4 pm to 7 pm, in the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, Lompoc, California.
