Donna E. Haacke, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2011 in Provo, Utah. Donna was born April 16, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to California as a young girl. She met Charles A. Haacke and was married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1945.



Donna was an active and devoted member of the LDS Church serving in numerous callings. She retired from the LDS Church Education System in Santa Maria, California. She also served a temple mission in the Los Angeles Temple. A 40 year resident of Lompoc, California, she will be remembered by many friends who were influenced by her love and kindness.


Donna is survived by six children: Janet (John) Pedersen, Joyce (Jim) Maddalon, Steve (Cindy) Haacke, Diane (Jesse) Ritzman, Carol (Bob) French, Robin (Randy) Bills, as well as 29 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. In addition Donna is survived by her sisters, Ruth Wilson and Mardell Jones and many loving nieces and nephews.


A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Interment will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery next to her eternal companion. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com
