Obituary
Dorothy Olive Shaw of Lompoc died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at the age of 91.
Dorothy was born June 30, 1925, in Sydney, Australia to Sidney and Daisy Steed. She met her husband at a USO dance in Sidney, Australia during World War II. She came to the United States as a "war bride" and proudly became a citizen in 1991.
A 54-year resident of Lompoc, Dorothy was an active member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening and was an amazing pianist.
Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ronald C. and Mary Shaw of Ontario, California, her daughter and son-in-law Jannet and Dan Gueck of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, daughter and son-in-law Judy and Gary Williams of Lompoc, her sister Gladys Wolff, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Shaw, her sisters Lillian and Isabolle and her brother Phillip.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 20, 2016 at 1pm, at the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Lompoc, CA. Reception following for friends and family at the church. At families request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritans Purse or charity of your choice.
