Dwayne Curtis Fuggs
1955-2012
Dwayne Curtis Fuggs was born on April 8, 1955, and passed away on June 21, 2012. Dwayne was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, served in the United Sates Air Force, and his final place of residence was Santa Maria, California.
He was the loving husband of 22 years to Cynthia M. Fuggs. He was the father to Phillip L. Pryce (and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Pryce) and Daniel S. Pryce, whom preceded him in death. He was proud grandfather to Annelise Pryce.
Dwayne worked for the City of Lompoc Water Distribution for 19 years. He will be well remembered for his strong work ethic, his kindness, his willingness to help others without hesitation, his dedication and his commitment to his job, his service to the community, and many barbeques.
Dwayne was one lovable person. He was always there when you needed him and whatever you needed him for. He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked him. That was just the way he was. He loved to go fishing, and he went every chance he got. He loved his family, and he made sure they were well taken care of at all times. If you needed something, you just needed to ask Dwayne and he either had it or would get it for you.
Dwayne was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time on the open seas with friends and family. The true outdoorsman, Dwayne also enjoyed hunting and camping. Dwayne served in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. He was a member of American GI Forum Post 125.
Dwayne is survived by his father, Norman Fuggs; brothers Kevin (Ricki) Fuggs and Cornell Fuggs; sister Vantrice Lewis; brother-in-law Paul Fefe; nephews Shawn (Candice) Fuggs, Edward Lewis, and Terry Lewis; niece Nyla Lewis; great nieces Nakaila, Natalya, and Jayla Fuggs; including would be many aunts, uncles, and cousins in addition to the many friends who loved and adored him. He was preceded in death by his mother Loretta Fuggs and his sister Norma Fefe.
May the generosity and strength that Dwayne always demonstrated guide all the family and friends whose lives he touched in their journey through life.
