Obituary

EARL D. LARKIN

Services for Earl Dailey Larkin, 94 and a former Lompoc resident, will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2006 at Lompoc Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 10 –12:30 at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.

Earl was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. On April 13, 1912. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Earl and his late wife, Dosha, raised their family in Ontario, California. They loved the Lord and were active members of the Church of Christ. He retired in 1975 from Mt. San Antonio College in Pomona where he was employed in custodial services and they moved to Lompoc and attended Mission Hills Church of Christ.

Following the death of his wife, Earl moved to Upland where he enjoyed being close to his grandchildren and playing his harmonica, singing and telling stories of old times.

Earl died peacefully November 29, 2006 in Upland.

Survivors include a son, Thom Larkin of Blue Jay, Calif., three daughters, Phyllis Hutchinson of Sacramento, Debra Hadidian of Pismo Beach, and RoJean Mickey of Lompoc, brother, Wilburn Larkin of Stockton, sisters, Bessie of Ventura, Virginia of Upland and Mary of Wyoming, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Dosha in 1997, after nearly 45 years of marriage, and a stepson, Harlan White in 2000.

Earl was dearly loved and will be missed.
