Elaine Angulo, age 65, passed away in Lompoc on May 9, 2012 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 7, 1946 in Santa Barbara to Manuel and Mabel (Reyna) Angulo.
Elaine grew up in Santa Barbara and attended local schools including La Cumbre Junior High and Santa Barbara High School (Class of 1964) where she enjoyed being a member of the SBHS Donettes drill team. She worked for Carl Karcher Enterprises for 25 years, retiring in 2009. Elaine became friends with many of restaurant patrons she met during her career and took great pleasure in the fact that she had the opportunity to meet the founder of Carl's Jr. restaurants on her 20 year anniversary with the company.
Elaine enjoyed gardening, spending time with friends and family, but most importantly, cherished Nana-time with her granddaughter Marissa.
Elaine is survived by her two daughters, Marie Mendibles of Santa Barbara and Eileen Mendibles of Lompoc, granddaughter Marissa, brother and sister-in-law Melvin and Linda Angulo of Santa Barbara, and her two nephews Manny Angulo and Todd (Bernadette) Angulo, both of Santa Barbara. She is predeceased by her mother and father and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on May 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Lompoc Valley Baptist Church, 700 E. College Avenue in Lompoc, CA.
Mom, your laughter and smile will be missed by many but you will always be in our hearts.
