Obituary
Eleanor Clair Barros, 81, of Lompoc, passed away on Wednesday, January 8th, 2009 at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara after a brief illness.
Eleanor was born on October 14, 1927 in San Francisco and raised in Santa Barbara. She married the love of her life, Jack Barros. They were married for 56 years. Jack and Eleanor lived in Goleta where Eleanor was a housewife and stay at home mother to their three children. Eleanor and Jack retired to Lompoc in 1987, where Eleanor enjoyed gardening, shopping, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Jack; daughter, Clair and her husband Michael Toth of Yuba City, Calif.; sons, Paul and his wife Sarah Barros of Lompoc and John and his wife Andrea Barros of Bremerton, WA. Eleanor has four grandchildren; Adam, Erica, Megan, and Michael. Eleanor was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A recitation of the rosary will be held at 5:00pm on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 3495 Rucker Road in Lompoc with Rev. Msgr. John Fitzgerald officiating. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. Inurnment will be at a later date.
