Eleanor Ruth Cashion, age 94 of Lompoc, California, departed this life on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Lompoc, California. She was born in Greensburg, KY to the late Albert C. Edwards and Teresa D. Edwards. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, D.R. Cashion, a daughter, Mary Ellen Taschler (Frank) of Lompoc, CA. and a son Charles T. Hizer (Phyllis) of Hodgenville, Ky.
Son-in-law William Stinecipher of St. Louis, Mo., two granddaughters, four grandsons, four great grandsons, two great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. Her four brothers, William, Ernest, Roy and James and her daughter, Linda Sue Stinecipher preceded her in death. She was widowed from her first husband Charles W. Hizer.
"Miss Ellie" was a homemaker and worked many years for several electronic manufacturers. She had a passion for riding horses, gardening and loved to sing with yodeling being her favorite. She brought sunshine to everyone she met each day.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Church, 500 E. North Ave., Lompoc, California on Friday, February 7th at 10:00 a.m., following a private burial at the Lompoc Cemetery.
