Eleanor G. Hayes
1923-2008
Eleanor Gilda "Cissie" Hayes, age 84 of Lompoc, passed away April 15, 2008. Cissie was born June 6, 1923 in Los Angeles to Charlie and Lena Guidero.
She was a member of La Purisima Concepcion Catholic Church, sang in the Master Chorale, and enjoyed playing golf. She was also an avid reader and an excellent cook. In her professional career, she worked for GTE/Verizon for 27 years.
Cissie is survived by daughter Gilda Smith of San Diego, CA, son Karl Maier of Santa Barbara, CA, Rick Maier of Santa Maria, CA, and daughter Julie Huss of Lompoc, CA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Randall Armann.
In honor of her wishes, cremation was requested with no services. Arrangements were under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
