Eleanor Cruz Magallon, age 79, of Lompoc, California passed away peacefully on September 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Eleanor was born on March 25, 1939, to Salvador Sr. & Esther Cruz.  She was a Lompoc native.  She attended local schools, worked and raised her family here.  Eleanor was a dedicated mother to five sons, who she went above and beyond to provide for all on her own.  She was a long-time beautician and also worked at the carrot/bean warehouse for several years.  Many remember her from Walmart where she was the greeter for the past 15 years.

Eleanor enjoyed so many things like visiting with her girlfriends on Wednesdays for some shopping or lunch at The Whistlestop, playing the slot machines at the casino, playing bingo at the hall, knitting and watching her cooking shows.  She was an amazing cook, but her famous salsa was the big hit!  Eleanor loved spending time with her family any chance she had whether it was a game, barbeque, or birthday (which she never forgot).  "Grandma Nor" especially enjoyed family trips to Lake Cachuma as well as Disneyland with the grandkids.

Eleanor is survived by her sons Ruben Gonzales, Tony Vickery, Larry Vickery, Andy (Delia) Magallon, and Vincent (Tricia) Magallon.  She was blessed with 16 grandkids and nine great grandkids. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Patrick Cruz, Richard (Barb) Cruz, Gloria (Joe) Laucirica, Christine Terrones, and Theresa Vasquez.  She had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents Salvador Sr. and Esther Cruz; her brothers Johnny Cruz, Salvador Cruz Jr.; sister Angie Vargas; daughter-in-law Susan Vickery and we can't forget her beloved dog "Spot."
