Graveside services for Elizabeth "Libby" Bubba, 81, of Lompoc, will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Msgr. John Fitzgerald of Queen of Angels Catholic Church officiating.

Elizabeth was born December 18, 1927 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey to Joseph and Leona Varholy. She moved to Lompoc in 1965 from Dayton, Ohio. Libby was a lifelong homemaker who loved shopping, reading, cooking, and taking care of her home.

She died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Lompoc Valley Medical Center after a long illness.

Survivors (spouses) include her husband of 57 years, Lawrence "Larry" Bubba; daughters, Candise (Dean) Dzwoniarek of Capay, Calif., and Cindy (Steve) Clayton of Santa Maria, Calif.; sons, Tony (Leslie) Bubba of Fairoaks, Calif., and Mike Bubba of Lompoc; sister, Margaret (Paul) Sumner of Oakland, New Jersey; and grandchildren, Zach Clayton, Dominic Bubba and Colleen Bubba.

Visitation hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
