Elizardo "Gabby" Garbiso of Lompoc died Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at the age of 86.
Elizardo was born October 5, 1927, in Walsenberg, Colorado to Pete and Guadalupe Garbiso. He served as a cook for 20 in the Army and later the US Air Force. He also was employed as a cook at various establishments in Lompoc.
A resident of Lompoc since 1963, he attended Allan Hancock College. He was a member of the American Legion Post #211.
Elizardo is survived by his wife Barbara Garbiso, his daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Lucas Maes of Denver, Colorado, Jennifer Garbiso of Lompoc, stepdaughters Liz McKay and Cindy O'Connell, brother Clarence Garbiso of Santa Maria, sister Angela Salazar of El Paso, Texas, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services for, will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2013 at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
