Isabella "Ella" J. Macdonald of Lompoc died Friday, May 8, 2009 at the age of 95.
She was born June 4, 1913 in Alloa, Scotland to George and Catherine Dewar.
During WWII Ella worked in England and Scotland making cordite for guns and bombs, then transferred back to Alloa where she worked an aircraft line
Ella is survived by four nieces including Catherine Wallace of Nipomo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers John, George, and David Dewar, and her husband Donald Macdonald.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses in Lompoc Hospital and Cottage Hospital, Santa Barbara for their professional care and kindness during her stay.
The family also expresses gratitude to Pastor Steve Petty for all he has done for Ella and us.
Ella will be missed by her family and her wide circle of friends
The memorial service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009, at 11 am at the First United Methodist in Lompoc. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment.
In lieu of flowers her family suggests donations be made to the United Methodist Church, the American Heart Association or the Kidney Foundation
