Ellen Charlotte Carr, beloved mother, sister and friend passed on earlier this week on February 27, 2012. She left us too soon at the age of 63 as the result of a sudden cardiac arrest. Loved by all who knew her, she will be missed.

Ellen's death was preceded by her husband John Carr, her brothers Bert Jacobson, Joe Jacobson, Sven Jacobson, Tosco Jacobson and her parents Halvard Jacobson and Nita Evelyn Walters. Remaining with us are her surviving siblings Bobby Dean Jacobson, Sonny Jacobson, Nita Chewning and Nina Raff, who she regarded as a sister.

Ellen is also survived by her daughters Marilyn Dumas and Nita Montey, her son Robert Hickson, her son-in-law Mark Dumas and her "other son" Vincent DeLuna. She leaves behind her grandchildren Sean, Noah, Tony, Jason, Christopher, Candi and Markeeia and her great grandchildren Hezikya, Kobe, Kreeia and Tehmeeka.

Ellen often enjoyed traveling to Oregon to visit her aforementioned daughter Marilyn, Marilyn's children and grandchildren as well as her sister-in-law Marilyn Jacobson.

Per her request, Ellen was cremated and her ashes are being kept in the care of her loved ones. There will be no services or gravesite as Ellen long maintained there was no need for a place to weep over her death when they could not be bothered to visit her in life.
