Obituary
Elly G. Cassidy of Lompoc, died Friday, January 27, 2017, at the age of 71.
Elly was born February 22, 1945 in Camaguey, Cuba to Antonio and Maria Gutierrez. After completing her education in Havana, she moved to Spain in 1970, where she met and later married her husband Patrick Cassidy. As the wife of a United States Airforce Airman, she lived in Merced, California, San Antonio, Texas, Croughton, England, Aviano, Italy, Dayton, Ohio before settling in Lompoc.
Elly worked as a custodian for 30 Services Squadron for nine years. She loved to sew and collect English tea pots and fine China, especially Portmeirion pottery.
Elly is survived by her husband Patrick of 41 years, numerous siblings including her sisters Vincenta and Mariana, both of Miami, Florida.
The visitation will be Friday, February 3, from 6 to 8 pm, and the funeral service on Saturday, February 4, at 4 pm in the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Her family suggests donations to a favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
