Obituary
Elmore L Kueffer, a 1947 Arroyo Grande High graduate, passed away June 23, 2011 in Lompoc, Calif. He was 81.
Elmore is survived by sister Muriel Stephens of Eugene, Oregon, sons David Kueffer of Tucson, AZ, Larry Kueffer of Grover Beach, Jon Kueffer of Santa Maria and daughters Anne Quirk of Cuyama and Pamela Walton of Lompoc. He left behind 8 grandchildren. His wife, Sally Kueffer, preceded him in death in 1988.
Born in Oakland Ca., he moved to Arroyo Grande Ca. in 1941 where he completed schooling while delivering milk for a local dairy. Elmore spent his career in agriculture working as production manager for Phelan and Taylor Produce Co. in Oceano and Lompoc. The last twenty years were spent as VP of production for flower seed grower Denholm Seed Co, now PanAmerican Seeds of Lompoc, Ca. He retired in 1994.
In retirement he enjoyed fishing, traveling and coffee with his cronies.
Private burial was held at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
