Memorial services for Elsie M. Ferguson, 86, of Lompoc, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with Pastor Robert Cornwall of the First Christian Church officiating. Private inurnment will be at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Ferguson was born October 15, 1921 in Warrenton, England to James and Johanna Mockler Moher. She graduated at the top of her class from high school in England at the age of 14 and earned the academic distinction and title of Valedictorian. She was a lifelong homemaker and has resided in Lompoc since 1959. Elsie was an avid reader who loved her children and grandchildren.

She died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at her home.

Survivors include her sons, Jim Ferguson of Lompoc and Keith Ferguson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter, "Snixie" Elayne Robinson of Corpus Christie, Texas; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
