Enid Oshman died Tuesday, October 27 at the age of 92. She was born June 13, 1917 in Hinton, Oklahoma, the youngest child of Calvin and Vesta Cleveland. She graduated from Jewell High School in Jewell, Kansas, and lived in Oklahoma, California, Kansas, and Nebraska, before moving to Lompoc, where she resided for the last 44 years. She worked as a schoolteacher in a one-room Kansas schoolhouse, and later as a bookkeeper for Jewel Tea Company in southern California, and Roberts Dairy in Lincoln, Nebraska, before becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, crafts, and feeding her neighborhood birds.
Enid is survived by John "Jack" Oshman, her loving husband of 52 years, and her son, Brad Oshman of San Ramon, California.
The visitation will be Monday, November 2 from 5-8 PM at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A graveside ceremony will be held Tuesday, November 3 at 11 AM at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Shriner's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
