Erica Lynn
Lopez
Mar 3, 1975 — Jun 17, 2026
Erica Lynn Lopez, 51, of Lompoc, California died at home due to natural causes on June 17th, 2026.
She was born in San Jose in 1975 to Raymond Andrew Lopez and Mary Lou Lee. Erica grew up and was raised in Hawaii. Where she made tons of friendships, capturing her cherished relationships in unforgettable photos. Erica graduated high school before going to work at hotels and housekeeping. She worked in hotels for many years, which only strengthened her friendly personality.
Erica couldn’t wait to start a family of her own, and her daughter meant the world to her. Kailee Lopez continues on in her image. And keeps her alive through her stories and motivational moments.
Erica had a soft spot for their furry friends, treating each and every one like the valuable family member they were. She rescued two of her furry felines, (Princess and DD) and treated them like her own children.
Erica and her friends were practically inseparable throughout their lives. From babysitting and shared dinners to birthday planning and loss of family members, they were together through it all. She loved spending time with her closest friends who quickly became like family.
Erica was passionate about her role as a home care provider at IHSS. Working for the company for 10 years. She loved getting to know people and caring for those who truly needed it.
Everyone who knew Erica knew how much she loved puzzles. She had a framed collection of probably hundreds. White, orange, and baby tigers. Some are still unwrapped and in their original packaging. She’d spend hours gluing her finished products and dedicate her time to completing one per day.
Erica will always be remembered for her bold and outgoing personality and the way that they always gave a helping hand. We’ll always imagine hearing her say “God doesn’t like ugly” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better friend/parent, and will miss Erica every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Erica was preceded in death by her sister Lana Forney and mother Mary Hanano, and is survived by her daughter Kailee Lopez, her sister Jackie Lopez, and closest friend Jessica Contreras.
